  After signup, use your PayPal account or major credit card to transfer funds to your AmericanPCHelp account. (Having, or establishing a PayPal account is NOT required.) The Minimum deposit is only $3 for your first call, and $9 for subsequent calls.
 
  Then, when you need help, contact me through the toll-free number, through email, or by leaving a message here at AmericanPCHelp.com. A form for requesting service is available here at AmericanPCHelp.Com for signed-in members. Many times, I will be able to call you right away. This is a one man shop, however, and I do sleep occassionally, so that is not always the case. If I can't help you right away, I will try to schedule a time that works for both of us. I am also a programmer, and tend to work and sleep at odd hours, but I'm sure my customers will dictate my hours. If you are an AmericanPCHelp member, you will be able to see whether I am currently available on the Status page, which is available to signed-in members. (If you are not yet a member of AmericanPCHelp, but would like to see the website from a member's perspective, please sign in with demo@americanpchelp.com, password: demo.)
 
  When we have a chance to discuss the problem, I will charge your account $3. This covers the first five minutes, which usually covers the initial assessment. After that, I charge $.60 for each whole minute, calculated to the second. I will permit your account to be temporarily in the red to a small degree if extra time is needed to solve the problem. Most issues do not extend beyond the first 10 or 15 minutes.
 
  The minimum charge for a callback is $3. If I am able to make an immediate determination from your original message that I will not be able to assist you, I may reduce that charge to $1 to cover the cost of the call.
 
  If you have asked that I call at a specific time and I am unable to contact you through no fault of my own after attempting to contact you several times around the requested time, I will charge your account $3. That is the only way you could end up paying anything without actually speaking to me.
 
  If it becomes necessary for me to contact others on your behalf, (your mail server administrator or ISP, for instance), it will be done at the same rate as I would charge for calling you, and will be explained in advance. Such incidents are rare.

ersonal Instruction
  After initial setup (see "Remote Control" below), instruction is available at a lower rate than support calls, but is sold only in half-hour segments, ($15 per half hour). Sessions are available on a regularly scheduled basis or as you need them. Online Instruction is only recommended for customers with a broadband connection.

emote Control
  For Online Instruction, and in some extreme cases for support services, it will be necessary for me to be able to view your computer. There are several remote control programs available which can facilitate this. Chances are, you already have the needed software on your computer, we will just need to get it configured properly. Otherwise, several free programs for this are available, and I will assist you in obtaining and configuring one which will work. This usually takes about 10 minutes, and is charged at the same $.60/min. rate as support calls.

  Services available range from per-incident callback plans similar to the PrePaid Phone Support above to dedicated hours and dedicated phone lines. Rates vary depending upon the level and quantity of services needed. Please email or call.
